53-Racing Calabogie Report.

Ottawa, ON. - May 25th, 2009 -- Ottawa-based Elie 'EEL' Daccache of 53-Racing attended the Parts Canada Superbike Championship round at Calabogie near his hometown of Ottawa.

Elie scored a 17th in Yoshimura Pro Sportbike and a 16th in the Parts Canada Pro Superbike race.

"It was great to finish in the points in both races!" Elie comments. "I tried my best to match my opening round finish of last year (10th) but there is only so much a privateer can bring to the fight against the bigger teams! It's a shame to not come away with any contingency after working so hard, but I will try harder next time."

"I am happy walking away with these points. The field is really deep in SportBike this year, and I have my work cut out for me. I gave it my all to put my ZX6R as high up the leader board as possible. Near the end of the race I was chasing one of the BMW bikes, who showed good speed all weekend. I stepped up my game in the race and was able to reel in some really fast bikes!" Elie adds "It really is gratifying. This 2009 ZX6R is so new to me, I am still 'setting it up' and it still works amazing!"

After the SportBike race, a decision was made to race with the SuperBikes. "I was feeling really good after my SportBike race and decided to enter the Superbike race. The race distance did not affect me at all as I knew I would outlast a few of my competitors. I made a good tire choice and was able to put down consistent fast laps throughout the race and even beat some 1000s!"
